1. This page explains how to delete your Splibble account and the personal information associated with it. Deletion is initiated from within the Splibble mobile app.
In short: Open the app → tap your profile picture → Edit Profile → Legalities → Delete Account. Your account and associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days.
Delete your account from the app
- Open the Splibble app and make sure you are signed in.
- On the home screen, tap your profile picture in the top corner.
- In the menu that appears, tap Edit Profile.
- On the Profile Details screen, tap Legalities.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account is then scheduled for deletion.
What happens after you request deletion
2.1. Your account is scheduled for deletion and your personal information is permanently erased within 30 days of your request.
2.2. This includes your account profile (name, email address, profile photograph), your bill images, and your session and activity history.
2.3. A limited amount of information may be retained beyond this period only where we are legally required to do so, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Full details are set out in Section 22 of our Privacy Policy.
Changed your mind?
3.1. While deletion is still pending, you can cancel it. Return to Edit Profile → Legalities and tap Cancel Account Deletion.
Can't access the app?
4.1. If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, you can request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing us. Please write from the email address associated with your account so we can verify your identity.
4.2. We will respond to and action verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable data protection law (POPIA and GDPR: within 30 days).
